So I've created a public Google calendar for the DOC-NYC schedule. I did not include the panels, and defaulted the film to a 2 hour time frame, except for the shorts, which are a 1.5 hour time frame. Also, the descriptions are copied from the Films & Events page, so are all truncated, but it gives enough info. Also, see my "DOC-NYC SCHEDULE" page for an embedded calendar. It's getting warm, and we had just come from an un-airconditioned space at Foodparc, and were on the hunt for a cooler place to continue our chat, as Jeanne was going to regale us with her latest adventures of being a modern day amazon warrior in the advertising jungle scene. It is then we met one of the greatest challenges as a New York City dweller, where can we find a place to sit! It seems our lives as urban dwellers revolve around finding a place to sit. While there are a plethora of places to go and things to do, there is always the question, can we get a seat? We reached for our smart phones, and found a few Starbucks alternatives, but of course, there were no seats. And then Jeanne directs us to a little gem, an oasis of seating, the Starbucks on the corner of 7th ave. and 31st St, which has an upstairs balcony of seats. There we were, a small community of urban refugees. We had the group of medical students, with their bright laptop screens vying for space on the small table, the out-of-towners with their suitcases who had just come from Penn Station, meeting with their resident nyc host, and the one armed man in the back table alone. Just your routine Friday night in the city. The coffee was as good as always, the company even better, and the seats were first class. Or at least that's how I always feel when I am in the company of my friends and Ronald. Now let's see if we get a seat on the bus ride home, now that's a whole other post....

Docuday 2011 New York announced!

DocuDay New York 2011 at the Paley Center Saturday, February 26, 2011 to Sunday, February 27, 2011: screenings of the documentaries (features and short subjects), which are nominated for the 83rd Annual Academy Awards.
